Hi there,
It was a silly idea really off road bikes are much more suited to our "roads"
The idea was to build a special similar to the Piuma using my spare Nordwest engine, which I also have tuning parts for, big bore kit, ported head and 2xcr Keihin carbs, etc.
Prototypes using gfr frames were built by Gilera just before they shut up shop, presumably as a replacement for the Saturno, repairing the frame would not be a mot problem here in Nigeria where I live, we don't have anything like that
I would have to get any repair done in the UK as tig welding is not available here, but do know a man who can
I think chassis wise Crono and gfr's are the same but think the Crono had a 16" front wheel compared to the gfr 17", I am supposed to be old enough to know better
but could be tempted if you twisted my arm, just wish I was half my age with all time and money to complete all the things I have on the go
Let me know what you have and let me think about it,
Cheers
John
