Excellent.

I guess the zip tie may have been deforming the pipe and allowing air in as you say. On a small circumference they tend to give uneven pressure where the 'pull through' bit is. A good tight fitting pipe is OK without clips. I don't think my GFRs have any.

Hi Maksei,

Thanks for the updates, happy that you've solved the problem. Gilera originally used metal rings to hold the tube in place, one at the oil pump and one at the carb. The ring is about 3 or 4mm long and really does a good job, it's not easy to pull the tube over the lip of the union on either the carb or pump.

I've just had to replace the tube on my Apache and I couldn't get exactly the correct bore, the only size I could find was slightly larger than the original, however the original metal rings pulled it up nice and tight on the unions, no leaks!

Hi, Leigh, Had a couple of those rings but were not the right ones (to big), hence the zip ties. Anyhow seems to be working ok now.Thanks for the support speak again.
