Sorry, as I said will will start, rev up, an tick over when stationary, but as soon as it is been riden on the road it's very sluggish with no power, eventually you can get it up into the high revs an it will pull, but will not Rev out, an as soon as you change up a gear it just dies agin.

are you running with a standard air box?
get it warm go and try and go for a ride, when it dies don't try and re-start straight away, take out the plug, what colour? any mis-firing?

Yes standerd air box, standerd carb, had it out today an I actuly got it to run ok,lots of on a off the throttle like your trying to pump fuel into the carb!! it's vey flat upto 8k rpm, between 8 an 11 when its on cam it pulls really well, had its upto 50mph down hill, it's does missfire between 11 an 12k rpm but I'm gathering that is it rpm limiter,
but as soon as it drops below the red line all the power dies, it never cuts out an if it stalls it starts straight away, the plug is new, it' get a little oily but not to bad, am I expecting to much from it ?!

you never know what's been mucked about with, can you be certain that this the right carb for the bike? check the main jet size, might be a second hand carb that's been up-jetted to run with a non-standard air filter. i had this with my dna. i don't know what the standard size should be
