well I've started!! everything seems so far to be as it should be & nothing missing with the exception of the chainguard ,still haven't managed to unsieze it & having removed the rocker cover the inlet valves fully open, so at the bottom of the stroke which probably isn't making things any easier, but all looks good so far, & touch wood no nasty surprises, I'll post some pics soon as I get a chance

Aye, fingers crossed - the deeper you delve the more surprises there may be, or if you're lucky it'll all come apart without drama. If in doubt soak the living daylights out of every nut and bolt in PlusGas just in case.

Just a little update,...Finally unsiezed, & after a little scotchbright scrub, it's running a 61.2 piston, so been bored a few times in it's life, but then the speedo does read 30K's, the exhaust valves pocketed a little bit & there's some wear on the tappets, but nothing major, just got to draw the dynamo off now & the cases can come apart

Good news, still keeping the fingers crossed the rest of it is just as trouble free.
