This will make a nice change from the GFR ;)
Remarkably unmolested but needing refurbishment. I won't be doing a full restoration yet but want to get it roadwortrhy for VMCC runs. Riding the 1980 Morini is too easy. It even came with the original Italian registration document. Begamo in 1970 but I think it may have been built a more like 1968 as far as I can see for '98 Seigiorni' production details I have found. Still will be MoT exempt next May!

Started first kick this morning. First jobs are an oil change, check the valves and points and treat it to a sparkplug of the right heat range.
I suspect the bore is a bit worn but it will do for now. What "The Motorcycle" used to call 'cobby' - euphemism for ugly;) The replica dual seat is super comfy though and the riding position much more suitable for an old gimmer than a GFR.

That looks uncomplicated and clean.

I suspect waterpumps and timing belts are easy to come by?.....;}

Heh. I's a bit cleaner now than it was, but it's rather past the mere patina stage. I expect you could drop the engine out in about half an hour. Apparently Uncle Bob still has quite a good supply of parts for them and new pistons are available from Italy.

It came with a spare gear change return spring but (as I already knew) that's a full split the crankcases job. A mate who had one says it's a common problem. The heel and toe lever helps and he just fitted rubber bands externally ;)

A step in the right direction. Finally (after four months) I have a decent gearbox sprocket for it. In the end I had to have the old one re-toothed. Couldn't find one even on Ebay.it. Luckily Uncle Bob Wright had a rear one in his Aladdin's cave.
