Does any one know where I can get a set of Oil seals my Crono forks? I've already been to Bob and he can't get the original size which is 40-52-7.5/10
He has 40-52-10 for a GFR but they won't fit in a Crono if the support washer is fitted below the seal as it should be.
I've contacted Marzocchi UK but they say this seal is not available any more.
So far I haven't been able to find a pattern seal of this size on the internet. I have found 40-52-7.5 but I would like to fit the original 7.5/10 if possible.

Hi Valdez,
Go online to the Allballs website, they do an extensive range of fork seals and may have the size you need.
Good luck
John

Is the washer somehow good for something?
Sound like the Nordie fork problem.
Older forks had a lower seal ring and the washer.
Newer ones have the higher seal ring without the washer.
Maybe you can solve your problem this way ;)

ciao Joachim

Hi John,

Thanks for the info. Went on allballs site but it doesn't allow a search by seal size and unfortuneately the Crono is not one of the models they list as suppling seals for.

Thanks again,
Valdez

Hi Joachim,

OK, I see your point. If I can't find the originals I'll leave the washer out and fit the 10mm. Unlike the Nordwest as far as I know there has not been a problem with Crono forks leaking, the one I have has done 26000km and the left leg has just started leaking. The original Marzochhi 42-52-7.5/10 looks a good bit of kit, it has two springs and three sealing lips as opposed to one the one spring two lips on the seals Bob gave me for a GFR.

Thanks,
Valdez

Hi Valdez,
If you go to www.allballsracing.com or www.GOallballs.com you will get into the Allballs US web page and be able to find from the seal size you give a part number.
With the part number and size I ordered my Nordie fork seals from Off Road Only on www.oro2u.com
Hope that helps
John
