Whilst on a 3000km sojourne on the "Wasp" around the southern regions, yesterday I noticed coolant around the cambelt cover.
Water is dripping out of the pump and there is about a mm of play. Not happy. About 6000km on this pump.
Luckily I have a spare being couriered down to me. Alt least they are easier to diasemble than the original. It will be interesting to see why it has failed
I would add a photo but it seemed to say forbidden on my 157k file :(

Ouch, as you say easier to repair than the original pressed together pumps, but would advice you contact Pemopa your findings, at least if there is a fault your feedback will improve the breed.
Always good to have a spare.

Resize to <150k and it should work. I may be able to increase the limit but we only have so much space.

Spare pump arrived, and would have been an easy swap. BUT, for some strange reason, all three countersunk cap screws were very difficult to remove.
I had put copperslip on the threads too. Even borrowing an impact driver/drill failed to budge them. Finally got them out with a bit driver and rachet......the bit was imperial and I hammered in to each one ( oh the ham fisted horror, but NEEDED to get that bloody pump out!)
When I get home in a few days I will take the pump apart.
Meanwhile I've been droning away on the Nordwest all day at 120km/hr and all is well. Speedo cable inner snapped though.
Still got 200 km to go today :(

Hi Joachim

sounds like a good idea to order some of those seals.
I'm not sure what Peter from Pemopa has done for the seals...it will be interesting to find out!
