The black stuff is mainly grease, probably from assembly. I need to measure things accurately to
see where the wear has occured. I will photograph the parts with a better camera and post a link.

Sorry are the bearings held in by a cir-clip like on the original, did you have to press it or is it all interference fit.

Yes the bearings are held in with a circlip as per the original I think.I haven't taken apart an original one yet.

I will try and take some better photos with everything layed out and upload them to a hosting site.
The seal is a dull brown/black and needs good light to see clearly. I haven't pushed it out of its housing yet.

So forgive me if you have already said, Is the seal just a single lipped shaft seal like a casing on the gear shaft or sprocket shaft.
I have a Brand New Pemopa pump waiting to be fitted and I have stripped and overhauled original pumps, so am particularly interested.
