Hi, bike is starting on the button having rewound the starter and re-bushed the planetary gears. Running well apart from being slightly rich which needs to be looked at. Paintwork nearly completed with new logos applied thanks to Joachim. Out of a need to get all functioning I am unable to start using the kicker, I have read the recommended method and have repeatedly practised, the decompressor is adjusted to the hand book and battery fully charged but nothing happens! Any one advise if the carb needs priming with a couple of twists of the throttle or full use of the choke. Is the air gap at the pick up critical to a successful kick; any advise gratefully received!

Hi RT,
even with an electric leg my bikes need the choke out, not sure why you want to kick when you have a button, there are better forms of exercise?

years ago there was an advice for the gap at the pickup.
0,7 - 0,9mm
You may need to use a little file to adjust to this number.
At least i had to do that

keep well, Joachim

Thanks Kano, two reasons; firstly the previous owner kick started all the time and I can’t therefore feeling inferior! With our lockdown advice need the exercise!

You will only get exercise on your right leg and will end up walking in circles
Stay safe in your lock down

Thanks Joachim, I thought that might be the answer.
