Hi, I understand that carb soared for the 89:90 may be hard to source. My idling screw is missing the needle point which will probably account for the rich mixture. I understand that the Yamaha XT600 used the the same carbs. Are the jets etc the same as for the 600RC or did they differ, any advice gratefully received!

Hi, not sure if I understand your question correctly, but if you are asking about new carbs for a Nordwest then Bob Wright of Weston keeps brand new ones(pair) for about £90, cheers

Hi, Many thanks but I need to pull the existing carb out and rebuild where necessary, new gaskets, ‘O’ rings and needles etc. I buy regularly from Bob when I can.

The XT had different jetting but i have bought gaskets etc from www.yambits.com, so worth a try asking them for whatever you need.
