every now and then someone arrives at my place with a project, and this is a douzy- the owner pulled it apart 15 years ago ( no mechanical knowledge) and now he has asked me to rebuild it for him,- a big learning curve for me - finding the exploded parts diagrams and parts if available are my biggest headache as well as some detailed info on water pump removal- it has only 30,000km on the clock

That is a serious project. Worthy of writing up on the VMCC forum (so long as it's a 1995 or earlier).
There is at least one other Nordie owner in Fance, but he is in Normandy.
Motosparepartner.com used to have parts diagrams on-line but they have gone. Seems to be some info on the RC600 here, which should work pretty well for engine parts..
yes, it is certainly a challenge as he has just put all the spares in one big box, I have to study, study study, to ensure I am doing it correctly- it is a 1991 model with 30k on the clock- thank you for all your assistance and guidance..

Hi Ian
Sound like a United Nations project, a Kiwi in France, Joachim de, assorted Brits and a Brit in 9geria
If you PM me your email address I can send you a parts book for the mechanically similar Saturno as a help in how things go together.
Cheers
John
