That was luck finding a water pump. :)
If the valve guides are OK and the piston crown not marked you should be able to get it running again by using oversize rings correctly gapped if within tolerances. If the piston thrust faces are worn too much you might get piston slap, particularly when cold though. :(

Good luck

The piston is ok but now I need oversize rings, any valve 32 and 36 fits there?

Have you asked Gottfried at www.hahne-power.de for the valves?
He is very sick at the moment, so it may last a little bit for an answer.

Another source might be www.heimracing.eu
Volker still has a lot of parts. Also Bob Wright at GB. that are the common sources for Gilera parts (i know)

Hope your Valve guides and the pisto nare really ok. No hidden cracks which will give you an expensive surprise one day :(

Maybe it would be the better choice to look after a well used motor.

I hadn't realised that new or good used water pumps were like hen's teeth (old English expression) ;)

We need a friendly contact in a small aluminium foundry. I guess the bodies are diecast? Before I retired I might have been able to find somewhere.

You would need a very good friend :( tooling up for die casting would cost an arm and a leg and he would be producing thousands per production run, sand casting is a better bet using the original castings as the pattern, this is something I have been able to do here in Kano, but not tried water pump bodies or impellers for a Nordie, I have done impellers for industrial diesel engines though :) I have a good s/h and a new spare pump in stock with my other bits and pieces :)

Yes, I meant a small sand cast aluminium foundry. I used to go in to quite a few in my pollution and noise inspection days. We also had an iron foundry (before it closed) on our patch that did stuff for BSA/Triumph. Also, long gone, a tiny iron foundry with a miniature cupolette that was only run one day a week doing valve stuff for gas. There's still a big one that does valve stuff for the oil and water industry as far as I know.
