Hi folks. Has anyone out there fitted the twin c.v. carb setup from a Yamaha Grizzly/Raptor to their Nord ? I have got my originals working quite well but I am sure there is scope for improvement. I have read where Yam Tenere owners have fitted the c.v. carbs with great results. Not expecting a like for like swap but am up for the challenge.

Thanks for the reply KN. Unfortunately Boris doesn't pay me Keihin C R pension money. I am looking for a slightly more economical alternative. I was talking to a guy with a Tenere at Prescott hillclimb a couple of weeks ago,and he was having a moan about the Tekei carbs. So I started looking at what the Yam boys useand the twin Keihin PDs came up. Might give 'em a shot. Stay tuned.

Had a mess around with the airbox last year, trying to increase the capacity as its fairly small. Also made a straight inlet tube into the airbox, seemed to work as the engine revved very cleanly and had a crisper feel, albeit on the stand. Standard carbs/exhaust as i am also not paid enough for the fancy alternatives. Must have done summit right as the engine promptly blew the head gasket! Next step will be a Sigma 6 kit and the Arrow exhaust that i was given with the bike. Cheers
