Hi
I have acquired a 1988 Saturn 500 Bialbero, it was found in a Japanese wharehouse with 9 ks on the clock!

However .....it has no radiator, I'm currently getting one sorted here in NZ. I cannot tell from pics on YouTube if all the models came with a coolant bottle or not?

As I am having a rad made its possible I can do without it.

If anyone could post some pics that would be helpful. Thanks! I am close to firing her up and eager for my shakedown ride!

There's a header tank on the right, bolted to the radiator and obscured by the fairing.

Welcome to the GeN etc etc.......

My Saturno made by an "infamous" former owner came without the header bottle and apparently that was how he ran it, along with a modified Nordwest engine, no fairing or radiator fan, I have since refitted the fairing, fan and bottle as it can get a bit warm here.

I'd run it with a bottle - there's a reason it's there and safer than replacing the head gasket if it overheats and fries it's brain. Either that or fit a really accurate water temperature gauge and check the rad level every time you go for a run.

JR used to run my Norturno without a temp gauge, without anything apart from a decent electronic rev counter and a cycle speedo
