Murray, Thanks for the update. I'm in the process of purchasing a Nordwest barrel, piston and rings from Bob Wright together with a 2nd hand Nordwest head. I'm told the Saturno crankcase has to be opened up to fit the Nordwest barrel. Then it will be uprated cams and a Davies Craig water pump and controller to replace the standard water pump. I've sourced an engineer to make a plate to seal the water jacket in place of the water pump with 47mm o d bearings to replace the pulley. Had problems sourcing 46mm o d bearings in New Zealand.
Do you have any idea of the lift and timing of the cams?
Thanks Stuart

Stuart, I have no idea of the cam specs, however if I recall correctly the paperwork that came with the kit showed a dyno graph and it basically moved the power up higher in the rev range.
I figure it already revs enough without going into 9000rpm territory.
I always figured if I ever have to remove the cylinder head I would investigate further but until then I'll leave it alone.
Cheers Murray

Murray thanks for the update. As a matter of interest where did you source the barrel and piston from and are you using the standard Gilera con rod with the engine tune?

Just for your info these cams do not appear to have the rev counter drive gear, so you would have to convert to electronic rev counter as I have on my Nordie engine Saturno, I am using an Elliot instrument with an adapter ring to fit the standard instrument holder.
