Hello Folks,
Yet another question!.
My 350 Saturno has a 38 tooth rear and 15 tooth front sprocket with 102 link chain, is this correct?, is there a more suitable ratio? or is the factory correct?.
I can find lots of info on the 500, but not much on the 350 variant.
Thanks,
Alan.

If not, i will see what i have ;)

Hi Joachim,
I had a look through the manual already, it gives the final drive gearing as 15/48, mine is 15.38, a very big difference?, or a misprint? also no chain link number.. I wondered if there was an opinion whether or not the final drive ratio was spot on for road use, or if there was a more suitable ratio.

OK, I found a Japanese site which lists the front sprocket for the 350 as 14t, and the 500 as 15t, rear sprocket for the 500 as 43t, the space for the 350 rear sprocket was blank?. so no further forward.

Hi, I just had a look at my workshop manual and found the 500 has 15/43 and the 350 has 15/48. My 500 has the 15/43 set up. Hope this helps. Cheers Murray

Thanks Murray,
That's quite a difference in gearing, mine must have been Goldstar like in pulling away!, I think I'll go to the standard gearing unless anyone has a more user friendly set up they can suggest?.IE, will it rev it's head off?. Looks like the rep[lacement chain at 102 links will need to be longer too.
Thanks again,
Alan.
