many years ago i was palying with a GUI related programming language Delphi i started to write something to calculate whether the chain is long anough or noct when changing the sprocket or tooth wheel.
Formerly Nordie owner Sven Schmidt was way faster ,so i stopped ;)
He also stopped developement.
But you may find his little programm called GearData somewhere in the web.
Search for version 2.11 or higher.
Somewhere there is an option to calculate what you need.
Oh... it's in German only :)
If you need help with translation please drop me a line.

ciao Joachim

Hi Joachim,
I looked up a chain length calculator last night, if I have a 47 tooth rear sprocket it would seem I need 106 links, however, that is calculated with a 17 tooth front sprocket, you take one link off (or on) for every tooth difference on the front, so that would make 104. I'll make sure I get a chain that's at least 106. links then modify.
According to some sites I've seen the 47 tooth is readily available, same as 650BMW and some others, I'll phone Bob Wright about a front. Question now is do I go for Aluminium or steel?. I put Aluminium rear sprocket on my Morini, big difference in weight!
Alan.

I used Alli sprockets on off road bikes and also my Nordie and Rc without any undue wear problems.

Folks,
So, I've sourced a 14t front sprocket from Bob, the rear sprocket is proving more difficult. To get it close to the 350 gearing of 3.21-1 I would need a 45t rear sprocket, now, the rub is, all the sprockets I see for sale on the web for Saturno's, Ebay etc, don't match my dimensions, the JTR5 for example which is listed on many sites, is way out. I have 80mm ID, PCD of 95.5 mm, 5 holes of 10.5mm. Does anyone know where I can find a sprocket?, or will I have to get one made?.
Thanks,
Alan.
PS, I've found out it's AFAM 11506-45 I need, lots for sale in Japan!, I think I'll have one made.

Sprockets Unlimted will make you an alloy one if you send them the old one or are sure about the dimensions and it's not a weird dished type or has 'pegs' on like a GFR.

There seems to be a shop in France that might supply. No English version of their site so you would need to Google translate and send an email to enquire about postage.

About the same price for an alloy one as a Sprockets Unlimited one-off I had made for my Morini.
