Hello, the suspension link bearings on my Saturno are a bit shot. Outers are HK1616, which are obtainable, but the inner races are 10x16x17 and appear to be ... not.

Has anyone any ideas?

I had the same problem on my GFR.
You could probably get someone to machine something up to the correct dimensions, but needle roller bearing inner rings need to be hardened and finished by precision grinding and usually have a 'lead in'.

In the end I confess I put the old ones back in with new outers and plenty of grease. At least it got it through an MoT.

I've got a used GFR linkage and dog bones off Ebay on the shelf with significantly better ones but haven't got round to having another go at it yet.

Oh well, at least cleaned and heavily greased they're better than they were.
When I get around to it I'll pull them out and measure up so I can get a new pair of dog bones made with with grease nipples fitted. Then a pair of these:
NKI 10/16 bearingsAnd some of these:
10x20x0.5 shim rings
Then just pump fresh waterproof grease through every service.
Good theory ... getting all that fitted will be a drama - the spacing between the mounting plates is pretty tight.

Sounds like a better long term solution.
I did struggle a bit with the GFR, though having it perched on adapted 'Abba' stand helped a bit. That's why I'm not rushing to dismantle it all again. I don't do many miles on it these days given the riding position so there isn't much motivation ;)
