Thanks Alan,
I've heard before that that's the best way to do it, though when I took a Suzuki VX800 panel to a paint specialist, all they did was compare it with a colour swatch. Then they went away and mixed the wrong one! I must find someone competent who has the technology.

Hi, best bet is to take an existing panel of the correct colour if you have one to an automotive paint supplier and have it scanned and mixed. Usually available in rattle cans or bulk for spraying
