No eBay APP ID défined in Kunena configurationThat part numbers seems to check out. Here's one on Ebay (same as Dakota). But I'd test the charging coil winding first.

Thankyou for the information, I've just ordered a new stator while I can get one. Will contact the seller regarding coil.

You can usually get the charging coil rewound. I had to get a GFR one done. New is better if you can get hold of one - shorter down time!

Ok I did some checking today. I checked the resistance of the ignition coil and found it ok. Checked the plug cap resistance and found it open circuit  ? Checked the pickup coil and it read 150 ohms a bit high I guess and have ordered an new plug cap. Also found some corrosion on the connector from the Ignition switch so have cleaned a few of the connector terminals in the wiring loom. Will see in about a week whether this has made any difference.
