Sorry, confusion. The fan comes on at high temperature only, and only when the ignition is on IE, when the bike is running or when the engine is switched off, but the ignition is on.
The gauge doesn't regiister any drop in temperature, it might stay stationary while running, but if you stop at say traffic lights, the gauge will rise a little, when you ride away the temperature, or at least the gauge, doesn't reduce in indicated temperature
To me this means the radiator can't dissipate the heat, and that means the water flow is restricted, there's air/gas in the system, or it's not getting to pressure. As everything else has been checked, clean rad, new coolant, , pump ok, new rad cap, bled umpteen times, the only thing I can come up with is the thermostat restricting the flow too much?. Or of course the head gasket is leaking, but there's no indication of this, in fact when you switch the engine off you can take the rad cap off after a very short time, no coolant being forced out, this tells me there's not much pressure on the thermostat to rad loop?., the thermostat is restricting flow. But I'm very willing to listen to other theories?. I'll probably just pop the thermostat out and see what happens, if it's still creeping up I have larger problems.
