I came home the other day to find that half of the front guard on my Saturno had vanished.

Anyone know where I can get a replacement or source a suitable alternative?

Bob Wright managed to get one for the 'Nordturno' years ago, but it took a while.

You could try searching Google for "parafango anteriore gilera saturno". but at the moment there only seems to be one for a vintage parallelogram forks 500 for £350!

You might find a 'universal' plastic one that you could make fit. I used a Ufo Supermoto one on several bikes , but they were MX machines where the guard was fastened to the bottom yoke. The Saturno one is attached to the fork sliders so might have to use some kind of adaptor plate but ensuring clearance for the tyre could be tricky.

That's interesting, has anyone else had this problem? I have had the same thing happen a while ago and purchased another guard off ebay. However just 2 weeks ago I noticed the replacement had started to crack as well so I removed it and repaired with Sikaflex and some thin aluminium sheet to give it strength.

So I would like to know why this happens.

didn't the SP01 (with standard fork) have the same mudguerd at the front?
Maybe it's woth to give it a try.
A few weeks ago there have been 2 guards at ebay Germany :(
But rather expensive
Albert from SebyPoly has made fibre replicas. But i looks like his website is down.
Volker Heim also has a nice carbon replica for about 180Euro ;)

ciao Joachim

The Seby Poly website is back up and they do list a Saturno Guard in their catalogue for around 80 Euros. The Part number is 350101. I've sent them a message in regards to availability and shipping.

Many thanks!

I've added the link to the Pattern parts page.
