Hello folks,
Yes I know, you must be tired of reading that subject!.
So, last weekend I had my first decent ride on the Saturno, around 90 miles, and yes, you guessed it, coolant laying underneath the bike when I stopped. Pulled the cam belt cover off and sure enough it's leaking out the drain hole on the water pump pulley. So, looks like a new bearing and seal kit, or if pemopo have them, maybe a new pump.
So my question is, before I start phoning and emailing, where can I get the parts?. Is it likely Uncle Bob might have them?.
So, to complete my moan, I've ridden the bike for all of 221KM since I got it, and spent countless weeks working on it, not you'll agree the best ratio!. I'm a bit cheesed off, but, really, what can I expect, it's a 1988 bike which has been standing doing nothing for most of its life, so although I'm cheesed off, I'm not really surprised. On the other hand, it's an absolute hoot to ride, and it does go well for a 350, even compared to my Morini, I really like it.
Alan.

I've not had a 350 or 500 water pump in my hand but would guess they have the same bearing and seal size as the 600,
If you search previous pump posts you will find a UK source for the seals, I have rebuilt several using stock SKF bearings, there is a posting by "Rapid Mouse" showing how to do it, just remember pulling the pulley off the shaft is almost impossible, at least I have not managed to do it, I press the shaft through the pulley and pump housing using a vice
If contacting PeMoPa stress it is for a 350 as the impeller end is a smaller diameter location into the cylinder.

Thanks for the info John.
I've phone South coast seals and the have the seals, going to be £60, I've ordered the o rings, and the C3 bearings are easily available.
Pomopa will have the new run of water pumps available in February.

I've taken the liberty of deleting the two other identical posts. Was the server being very slow to respond?

WoW!

£60 for the seals! they've gone up in price.

I brought a couple of sets from South Coast seals a few years ago didn't pay £60 for the lot.

maybe... with a bit of luck the sealing is still ok.
Changing the bearings early enough sometimes cures the problem.
There is also a video out on Youtube from Luca.
I am just trying to order a new setof sealings from Burgmann.
I also had this littel uups when i heard the new price.
Raised from about 25 Euro to 40 plus.
BTW the sealing pack we are always talking about is about 2mm to high.
Burgmann has a new sealing listed in their catalog which seems to have exact the same height as the original Gilera version.
I am trying to order this ones.

ciao Joachim
