Hi Joachim,
I'm going to have to pull the water pump on my 350 Saturno too, as you may remember, i had a trickle of coolant coming from it last time I rode, so any info on part numbers for the short seal would be most welcome, or I would be very happy to purchase one from you?. I've ordered Koyo bearings, which are pretty high quality.
Regards,
Alan.

the package with the sealings has arrived and will be on the way to me tomorrow.
Hope it will arrive before weekend to compare the sealings with an original one.

ciao Joachim

Looking forward to your opinion on the seal Joachim.

In the meantime I've machined up a jig to hold the water pump during disassembly.

I've just pressed mine apart in the vice with a little help with a heat gun and a ground out 1and 3/4" socket.
It made a horrible crack, and I thought for sure it was the housing, but all is good.
Bearings are seized. I'll go to the seal place tomorrow and see what they come up with.

Gents

I am so please you are getting these pumps apart without destroying them.

It essential to have that tolerance fit around the pump to protect the body.

Just need to be really gentle with the impeller now also.

Not being patronising but well done to you both :)

Pete
