Hi All,
Don't know why the forum system decided to rename me palban100, but hey ho.
Rebuilding my GFR engine and rolling frame now and I'm wondering if you have any ideas for removing the blind end needle roller bearing in the RHD side engine case? I've got some blind hole bearing pullers but they need a gap at the end of the bearing cage for the tabs to wedge behind and there isn't this gap on this particular bearing. Knowing how soft/brittle the cases are I'm loathed to get creative with it, but am thinking whether I should collapse the bearing cage to remove it? Cheers,
Andy B (or palban100 now)

didn't the manual give any help?
Maybe warming up the alloy case will loose the bearing so it can be pulled out.
Beside this there is the old soap trick ;)

ciao Joachim

One or two records got scrambled when the Joomla/Kunena installation had to be upgraded.
I'll have a look at the MySQL tables and see if I can fix it, but it's not easy and runs the risk of messing things up even more.

Hi Pete,
Now that you are probably selling your remaining GFR would you consider selling your spare GFR exhaust pipe?

If I can find it in the shed! I'll have a look later. Might only be a silencer - can't remember - the old expansion chamber was quite badly dented where a previous owner had used a trolley jack under it !
