All the 4T engines are interchangeable only the Saturno needs a little fairly drastic surgery, think the Dakota has a single carb and should be quite "soft" compared to a Nordie but ideal if you want adventure style and a bigger tank.

Or just buy a Nordwest and save the hassle? By the time you bought the bike and repaired that motor off of the Fools Bay you could have spent the cash on a NW and started grinning.
Dakota looks a nice bike and having the Nordie power would give you a go anywhere machine and a good powertoweight ratio. The Morini Camel and Kanguroo from the same period (ish) look nice too.

Yep the Dakota looks very tidy, did Gilera also invent the adventure style bike as well?

The XRT must be in with a shout for that honour.
