My Nordwest being ridden properly at Prescott Hill Climb September 2007 - in other words not by me ;)

The rider looks to be doing the business I would not be trying so hard especially at Prescot with all that armco barrier just around the corner :S

He was a regular Manx GP rider with a best lap speed of 113. He had never done a hill climb, or ridden a single much, so I offered him a go on the Nordie. He was a full 3 seconds quicker than my personal best on the Nordwest there and beat my time on the Voxan that day by 5 seconds!

He doesn't race any more because he had a big off on a bike he called Kwackzilla in the Jurby South road race in 2008 and had a leg full of metalwork for a year.

Still rides at track days though on his ZX10R. He had a go on my GFR at Cadwell in September in a slow group and nothing got past him despite there being the odd 1000 sports bike out on the circuit. He said it was the best fun he had enjoyed on a bike for ages.

I find Prescott the most difficult track. The armco through the esses looms up a bit on a bike

Heh - You could call him that

He's not the only one to have been my Stig, rather like the Top Gear Stig there is more than one anyway I'm told.

Nigel 'Stoppie' Windys had a go on it at a twisty sprint in Cornwall not long after I had done the tuning. He went 2 seconds faster and confirmed that the carburation wasn't right. That was cured by taking out the last auxiliary baffle from the FPM race silencer (as Luigi had hinted wen he sold me the can). The lower back pressure transformed the pick up when given the beans out of slow bends. Far too loud for road use, and probably over the ACU noise limit today.

I've got a video clip of it somewhere on an old Hi8 tape, must dig it out, convert it to MPEG and upload it to Youtube. It sounded awesome.
