Not much clue as to exactly why they broke though :(

By the way. The search facility on the forum defaults to jut the last year. If it doesn't find something you think has been posted, go in to Advanced Search (use the little + sign by the search box)to find posts from 'any date'.

I've tried to access the links in the previous entries without luck, can you assist?
I'm in the process of replacing the valves in my Nordwest head but the originals measure 92mm long, stem diameter 6.96mm, head diameter, exhaust 32mm, inlet 36mm. Any idea where I can get replacement stainless steel valves. I've tried Bob Wright without success.

Joachim, Thanks for the reply. Tracked down some Manley Stainless steel one piece blanks, I've had a set of valves turned up at a cost of New Zealand $570.
