Following a short road test all gear change problems have disappeared; now nice and smooth. At the same time I had a problem with the oil pressure indicator, previously not completely extinguishing but just dimming to approx half illumination. While I had the side cover off I removed the sensor and flushed the switch out with WD40 & the standby, Gunk, several times. Drained the switch and re-fitted. Having been on the bike for 30 years it was full of thick oil residue, at the time of road testing switch now fully restored to working order; another pleasing result!
