So far I've identified a UK supplier who can supply at about £45 per bearing. The German and USA prices are astonishing!

That's because they're carved entirely from unicorn horns and quenched in the tears of angels. For that kind of money I'd be wanting the rest of the bike attached to it and at least half a tank of petrol....
