Can anyone tell me if the headlight from the CX 125 is unique to the bike or was it common to a couple of models, maybe a Piaggio scooter for example.

have a look at those magic numbers
The lights are usually made by CEV.
There should be a number on the front screen, close to those letters.
A second one somewhere on the case.
Asking Google about CEV and those 3 digits sometimes brings up realy cheap things
