I knew there would be a solution out there. Electric pumps are clearly the way to go.....

For a few years I have been using 12v electric water pumps made by Mikuni on my Jedi Kawasaki engines, I used to put a blanking plug into the hole left by the engine driven water pump, but am now using the drive for a 2nd dry sump oil pump ;)
