My Nordwest discs get surface rust at the slightest hint of water and, from what I have read, this seems to be a common issue. Does anybody know if there are aftermarket discs available or if the discs from any other bike fits. I plan on doing a nut and bolt rebuild and I don't fancy putting the original ones back on knowing they will rust in minutes.

While I'm on the subject of replacement parts, can I swap the rear shock from any other bike?

That's cast iron for you, plus they weigh a ton.

Good hunting,

They are 270mm discs. I don't know of any other road bike that uses the same diameter, bolt size and centres. That size is often used a 'oversize' on MX/Supermoto bikes. Might be worth doing some measuring up then contacting Talon or EBC.
