the problem is, if there is enough oil in the engine, the level is *above* the upper end of the oil level glass.
So of course everything you can see is brown
If you see the level in the glass it's time to fill up oil.
Next oil change you may fill in the right amount, take the Gilera on the left hand grip and somewhere at the frame and lend it over carefully. Do NOT let it fall down
Then remeber the angle when the oil surface appears at the top end of the glass. So you can always estimate the ammout of oil in the engine long before you can see something in the oil level glass.
