Hi Stephen,
It is in the manual for Nordie and RC but not so obvious written 3/5 - 3rd notch of 5 ie in the middle position on both needles.
Regards
John

Thanks John
Whilst you are on, so to speak, what are your thoughts please re needle settings/position when running a full Arrow Exhaust system ?
Then perhaps with K&N fitted although i am not sure yet what the bike has fitted as its in the garage awaiting the return of a water pump so willhave to pop down to check.
Sure we have been through this before so apologies

Hi Stephen,
I have a loud Remus silencer with a home made connecting pipe on the Nordie and an original quiet Gilera/Termi silencer on the RC, but lurking in the UK waiting for me is a new Luca silencer from Joachim in Germany not sure which bike it will end up yet  On the Nordie is a standard paper filter and the RC has a reticulated foam filter I made here.
I've not had to fiddle with carbs, if it runs right it is right ;) But noted the RC-R has a bigger main jet listed as the only difference from all others of the bread and a higher power output so I'm am thinking to drill out a jet from my spare carb and try :)
As I have a set of Keihin flatslides and as the nordie float jet is leaking the Keihins are in position but have to have a flexy connection made to the airbox B) too dusty to run here without a filter
Regards
John

Those boys who are serious in such things take their bike to a dyno, plug in a wide band sensor and fiddle out the right jetting in thousands of runnings ;)
Maybe its worth thinking about such work.
I canask a guy i know who also has a Arrow without dB-Killer
But i think he did not change anything.

@KanoNordie.... it will end up in Lucas silencer ;)
I think it also needs some rejetting.
I have some backfiring when clossing the throttle. Also i think it is running a bit lean at high revs.
This is what i *think*
Maybe i first will lift up the needle one notch. And will have a look for a dyno :)

ciao Joachim

Hi All,
I just got back to Nigeria with Joachim's Luca silencer ;) very nicely made (do you have another one for the RC?)
As my TK carb float valve was leaking I'm fitting the spare Keihins I have, that used to be on 72degrees hill climb Nordie B)
I just wish we had a dyno anywhere in this part of West Africa, it's back to the old fashioned plug chops and a little trial and error I am afraid
Regards
John
