My Nordie has Grimeca calipers and seals were bought from Bob Wright not too long ago B) the problem for long term Nordie owners is that Grimeca don't seem to be supplying seal kits and we will be looking for old/new stock unless an alternative can be found :(

Thanks for clearing up the confusion John. I'd forgotten that the RC600 only has a 2 pot front caliper I think?

North Leicester Motorcycles manage to get hold of seal kits for the Grimecas on the WeeVees and I found a chap selling new stainless steel pistons for them.

Time to start measuring up the piston and seal dimensions perhaps.

Apart from having the same brake fluid ;) every thing is different on the Nordie and RC, calipers and master cylinders back and front all made by Grimeca but different shapes and sizes :( :S uncle Bob did not have an RC master cylinder for me but uncle Gottried did B)
so both bikes stop very well

What a lively discussion. I feel comfortable here

Does anyone know the diameter of the two brake cylinders in the front calliper and also of the one brake cylinder of the rear one?

Cheers

If you don't mind waiting till the weekend I will measure up the old seals which I replaced, 1st rule of old bike never through anything away B)
Glad to hear you are comfortable that means we have done a good job with a fellow Gilera owner, but do check out the German forum, they are also very good but don't seem to have our silly British humour
Cheers

Hi Hzd,
Just been measuring the Nordie front caliper has piston diameters 25mm and 28mm
The rear caliper has a piston diameter of 32mm.
Cheers
John
