Sorry HZD43, you're right - I'm getting confused with my Husqvarna which really does have Brembo calipers. Ok, forget that suggestion then.

Plus it's been years since I had a Nordwest....

Now I'm confused as I thought at least early RC600/Nordwest used Brembos?

I kinda thought I was half correct with the Brembo remark, and if 72degrees is also correct then the bolt spacing must be the same which could lead to an easy calliper swop since Brembos (I assume) are more widespread than Grimeca. Yes/no?

Also the Saturno had Brembos.

The Saturno certainly had Brembo 'Gold Line' calipers. On checking, however, David Champion's FAQ definitely says 'Grimeca' and now I remember Romolo Ciancamerla saying this on the old Gilera yahoo group.

Is the Grimeca 4 pot caliper a 'copy' of a Brembo. I know they now do replacements for the Brembos used on some BMW boxers in 80's.

Or perhaps that ebay seller forgot which bike the caliper actually came from!

If I get time tomorrow I'll measure the bolt spacing on both Grimeca and Brembo calipers from Nordie and Husky that I've got stashed in the garage and also do visual comparison to see who's copying who.
