Hi 72,
I'll wait till uncle Bob sends me new caliper and master cylinder seals, then have a good look at the little varmint.
I just heard your good weather is escaping, how could you do that to me? you should know I'm fully tropicalised by now :(

Hello all
Rear brake a problem also, at the MOT it was spotted, just seems to be compltely stuck, neither binds nor operates. No further action taken as the kind chap at the MOT centre said it may " break free" provided i used it a bit more !!!
Guess it will need a full strip and check out at some point though. Must be one of the normal suspects like seals, new brake fluid etc.
Best Regards
Stephen

Presumably there is plenty of fluid but no air in the system?

You could try taking the caliper off, removing the pads and pumping the lever to see if the pistons move at all. You may be able to get them free and out far enough to clean everything up then push the pistons back in. Repeat a few times and with luck it might start to work again.

A strip and rebuild with at least new piston seals and fresh fluid is probably going to be needed though.
