I'm just doing a bit of research into repairing the water pump, which I don't need - I'm just educating myself for as and when the time comes - can the Burghmann seals be bought in the UK? Or do we have to venture further afield...?

I found a company in UK selling a very close equivalent, Burghmann German made seal P/No SBS/012LSS/CAN11 from South Coast Seals Waterlooville Hants. T. 023 9225 7766 which were about gbp16 when I bought 5 a long time back.

Hi o/bomber, just to repeat what John said, I renewed the seals and bearings a year ago, purchased stock bearings locally no problem and seals as per John's info--very helpful guy at south coast seals, knew exactly what i was after! I should have receipt somewhere of exact details if you need. I made a very crude bearing press from bits and pieces and with a bit of heat here and a bit of cold there it all came apart and went back together with no probs, thro i had to take a bit of thickness of the impellor as new seals are a bit thicker but again very simple. I just thought I'd arm myself with the basics, plus I know a guy who's not on here that's got pump issues so I was trying to be helpful as he's stumped with the RapidMouse translation and the info is handy, especially as I'm about to get my Nordie dragged into the daylight again,
