Having problems starting my RC600, I suspect it is something to do with the fuel. Bought a new fuel tap and changed all the fuel pipes, but somehow got all mixed up. On the fuel tap there are arrows for I suspect inflow and out flow. what I need to know is what pipe goes to the reserve tap?. Does anyone have a diagram on the fuel system.

Thanks in advance.

you have two taps.
On the left side the 'reserve' tap
On the right side the 'normal' one.
Your suspection is right. Arrow in and arrow out.

Route the pipe from the left side to the input arrow marked stud at the right side tap.
The output pipe should be connected to the carbs input.

You may also check the righthand tap's parts inside the fuel tank. Isn't there another filter? I'm not shure about this.
There should also be a small filter in the inlet pipe of the carb.
If no one has thrown it away.

Have you cleaned the carb?
The best would be to dismount everything and to ultrasonic all the bits and parts.
Most problems will be solved by doing this

ciao Joachim

Thanks for the reply. The tap on the left is connected to the inlet on the tap. Both the fuel tap and the carburettors are new, I did manage to start and ride the bike when I installed the carb but it started running rough after a while. There is no inline fuel filter I will fit one.

The confusing thing is the fuel tap has on/off/reserve on but the tap on the left I think needs to be open at all time is that correct?.

Thank in advance.

I had the same problem when I re-fitted my carbs after ultrasoniclly cleaning them and plumbing them back in....the reserve side either has the thumbscrew type of tap or a standard type but they've got to be turned on so the fuel delivery is balanced.
