I have been talking at length with Zacpike on the prospect of running off a batch of water pump bodies out of billet aluminium, because the cost of making the casting pattern is going to be too high for the possible numbers required.

Initially we have looked at doing the 558 ones, but are going to check and we think that we can do 500 ones in the same run, just with the smaller impeller end for that model. He is going to look me out a pattern so that we can be certain.

I reckon that I need to do a minimum of 10 off to make it viable, so would ask that anyone who is interested get in touch and I will start a list.

By the same token, as in the Saturno thread, we will look at doing a batch of pump shafts at the same time. These will be hardened and ground as per the originals, so not cheap but they will fit!

I will update on costs once I have an idea of numbers - but it will be affordable.
