Hi all,

I have no idea if the original chain slider, the plastic bit protecting the l/h side of the swing arm from being chopped by the chain is easily available, but found the UFO Plast slider P/No XR02686001 supplied for Honda Xr400 -600 is an exact fit, who copied who ;)

It MUST have been Honda that copied Gilera !!!!!

There is no way we would use another manufacturers product on our machines.

PS DON'T mention the Cogaur, 50cc engined bikes. the proposed Superbike or some of the 125s and particularly the Simoncelli World Championship winning bike !!!

Don't worry it was not a Honda part - UFO plast made in Italy.

No way would I ever mention the Cogour, 50cc and some 125 Honda engines fitted in some bikes or the rebadged Aprilia 250 GP bikes, Oh no not me.
Regards
John

That's OK then, but please don't mention "plastic" and Italian when talking about our beloved Gileras. Surely we wouldn't use such primative materials as plastic, rather we'd have used far more advanced materials such as those we provided to the US Space Program !!!!

No I would not dream of mentioning how many Italian plastic panels I've repaired since becoming a Nordie and RC owner, but its more than my finger count, not including a split tank filler cap repaired with hitech alluminium in-place of Italian plastic!?!

Today i found the time to look where my old RC swingarm is. Found it ;)
Comparing it to a Nordie swing arm brought up that the chain sliders are the same.
I have to see where to get this UFO part.
Thanks a lot for the advice.

ciao joachim
