Joachim, I'm pretty sure the majority of Japanese specials were 500cc models. There were very few 350s ever made and although these were for Japan and not Europe, they were the standard models not specials. I also believe that the Japanese models had a different prefix to chassis number from the few made for europe. Haven't got the details to hand but if there is some doubt about that I'll dig out the files and check.

Joachim,
I sure they are Marzocchi forks but will check over the weekend.

Paul, if you have the Janpanese chasis number prefix that would interesting? I could verify my bike is an import.

cheers

I am a new member & have just finished the restoration of a special edition 350 Saturno imported to this country sometime in the early 2000's from Japan. It was very neglected & had stood unused for several years. The frame No is NH01-00224R & engine No 219 001216. It is in full production racing mode & has done only a tiny mileage. The forks appear to be GP type Marzocchi's with Nisi hydraulics, no stand, raised footrests, a Gold Star type exhaust & silencer, & several other 'mods'. The racing tyres have been changed for road legal items, & having just got clearance from Customs & Excise, it is about to be put on the road in UK.

I bought it from a Mr Graham Johnson in Batley, Yorks, & if anyone knows the history of this machine I would be very grateful.
