Found this on youtube;

Does anyone know anything about the bike featured, is it a special edition of the Saturno?

The only special edition I know about was the "Anniversary". They were black, but this looks like a custom job to me.

There were a few 'specials' made for the Japanese market only, one of which was the Isle of Man version shown. I'm not aware that these various specials had any performance extras (but I could be wrong). I understand that it was basic changes such as colours (over 15 variants), exhaust sytem layouts (the IoM had twin exhausts), and other cosmetic changes. I do have a picture showing 10 different colour schemes that were available for Japan and know that several of these made their way to New Zealand but I've not seen or heard of any in Europe (apart from the Anniversary edition in Black with Gold lettering/edging).

Hi, thanks for the info that is really interesting I do not suppose you could post the pictures on here.
Also, I have a confession to make :blush: , I own a bike that looks exactly like the one featured, and I have owned it for years and absolutely love it, but I have never been able to find anything more than it is a variant of the standard bike.
I have enquired about it in the past as I’d really like to know something of the history behind it, especially never having seen another, but no info was forth coming so went on believing it was a one off……..I could not believe it when I saw the same bike on youtube. So to now know that my bike could be one of a few specials made for the Japanese market is brilliant :ohmy:! Any further info you have on this would be most gratefully received.

Hi

what kind of front fork did your bike have?
I always thought that the japanese 'specials' all had a FI Fork.
The one on the youtube bike is the normal Saturno (Marzocchi)fork.
Maybe there are special special japanese one sout there ;)
Oh... most of the japanese specials are 350ccm Saturnos.

By the way, i and some other guys, are on the hunt for such a special japanese exhaust since years :(
Whish i could get hands on one of that to get a replica made by someone.

ciao joachim
