Hello again Folks,
I think I may be looking for the proverbial Fresh dinosaur poo here, but does anyone know where I might find a fender extender for my Saturno Bialbero?, who made them?, or is there perhaps one out there from another model of bike that might fit?.
It's finally on the ramp!, engine out this weekend I hope, or should I say frame off?, there's perhaps 50% of the paint left on the engine, but won't really know how to tackle it until I get a good look at the engine when it's out, either soda blasting, or perhaps the usual paint stripper then pressure wash, then acid etch primer and paint.
Any ideas where a similar grey colour is available?, I've been looking at Suzuki outboard paint.
Any and all advice welcome.
Alan.

what the hell is a fender extender :)

Front or rear?
Due to our local laws whe have extenders for the rear here around. One shoud mount it every 2 years for German TUEV ;)
I know about such small black extenders for the front too.

ciao Joachim

Hi Joachim,
Thanks for the reply.
I should not have strayed over the Atlantic, I mean a mudguard extension, hehe.
It would be for the front, I would like to keep some of the muck from our Scottish roads off the front of my (to be) newly painted engine. I've seen the extended rear mudguards but I didn't realise they were required by law.
As for the engine paint, I've ordered Yanmar metallic grey marine engine paint, I'll let you know how it works out.
An update on the Saturno headlamp question, I bought a headlamp shell from a 2006 Yamaha YBR125, the one that uses the same indicators as the Saturno, and I think it's the same shell, it's plastic not metal, and the rim is differentl. Of course i can't be sure as I don't have an original to compare it with.
Alan.

Maybe there are original headlights available in the future.
HP ist working on that.

My Saturno has a fender extender (like this word ;) )
I will take a pic tomorrow.
It has a Gilera number on the inside, but did not look as it's made for the Saturno.
Luigi trimmed it to fit i think.
AFAIR the front fender is the same as the one of a 125ccm Gilera.
The SP02 has an USD fork.
SP01? Crono? I should search for pics...

ciao Joachim
