The needle on my tachometer has broken. I took the instrument to my repairer who has repaired for me lots of old instruments. He says that the bezel is glued on very strongly and he cannot remove it?>

Doe anyone have a technique to remove the bezel to give access to the needle and inner workings of the instruments???

isn't it possible to open the instrument from the backside?
Like the Nordie instrument.
I am not shure about he Saturno because those instruments did usually not break
Not like those of the Nordies ;)
If i find the time i will have a look at weekend

The mechanism is screwed to the rear of the case and must be withdrawn through the front so the bezel and face must be removed
I took it to a specialist instrument repairer here in Sydney who does loads of instruments from vintage vehicles

He said the bezel is glued on and he could not find a way to remove it

The needle on my tacho has broken and I have seen Saturno instruments on eBay with broken needles so it does not appear to be an isolated incident

The needles are just plastic and I suspect the single cylinder vibration after 30 years is not conducive to long life

There is a complete set of gauges for sale on ebay in Australia. It's expensive but they may sell the tacho separately if you ask.
