Wahala dey the Nigerian way of saying Oh bollocks whats gone wrong now
The RC is coming back together and starting to look something like a bike again, engine in frame , exhaust and carbs fitted with new inlet stubs (chears BobW) clutch cover fitted fitted with kick start shaft bought from Germany, new Sprag clutch fitted and engine cranked over without cam belt, fit left side engine cover and cam belt turn engine by hand and approaching TDC with the valves opening we stop  check cam marks again, all correct, OK lets remove the cam belt and turn a again by hand, all turns easy  so cam belt back on and clunk again  OK so lets remove tappet covers for a look see, inlet side off OK, exhaust side long Allen bolt out, the short one has rounded off the hexagon  Grrr so removed right side radiator/cooling fan and the coil to give a little space, next I'll try to persuade it with a center punch to see if the little varmint can be tempted out of its hole :S I shall be extremely pissed off if the engine has to come out just to drill the head off a bolt :(
Will keep you posted
John

bad luck :(

Maybe a chisel and a hammer can give a help. Try to turn the head of the bolt in the right way ;)
I know there is not very much space to do this.
Maybe you can try to turn the cover itself a little bit. If you'r lucky this might lossen the bolt a little bit....

ciao Joachim <spending the below 0 degrees sunday with a *§$%&# Notebook>

Hi Joachim,
Turned the cover a little bit both ways and attacked it carefully with a chisel but ran out of time as I had to start work :S
Don't like the sound of your oc degrees :S we have a far more sensible 22c at around 7.00am rising to 32c at midday, but sorry no bike riding as we have so many security check points after our bombings and shooting, the army make you get of, shut down the engine and push through the checkpoint as its much harder to shoot them that way  but at my age it's dam hard pushing a bike every 200-300m :(
Regards
John

Brrr even +7c is cold for a fully tropicalised person like me after more than 30 years in Africa, the lowest we get is around +12-14c at night :)
The good news is the round headed Allen bolt is out :) but not had time to inspect further :S
