i have refurbished 2 pumps earlier this year
I also ahve taken some pics.
I'll see if i can find them somewhere ;)
I also have made some tools to mount the parts in the right position.
Beside this i am just trying tobuy new mechanical sealings.
As far as i can see Burgmann now has a shorter sealing in their catalog.
This might be exactly the sealing we need for our pumps.
The sealings recommend by the french guy (and me) are 2mm longer than the original ones. Years ago the engineers from Burgmann told me that it might be better to remove 1mm at the rotor. What i have done. But i did not enjoy that.
So the shorter ones should be the better choice.

ciao Joachim

this is my clamping tool.
The trick is to fix the belt pulley and press out the complete rest of the pump.
Lucas video at youtube is a good help.
Then you can take apart the other parts.
The red arrow in one of the pics marks the rest of one of the roller bearing. The balls have been falling off before i take the pic.
So maybe you will have less sparts in your hand ;)
Before removing anything i recommend to take some measurements.
Notice all the distances between the shaft, the rotor and the pulley so you can mount them later at the same position.
That might be important.
Otherwise rotating parts can touch the pumps case or the engine case.

good luck, Joachim

Well good news on Saturday, I finally got everything linked up together, put a battery on it, added fuel and went for a start.

After a fair bit of turning and the old hand over the inlet on the carb I managed to start it up and it runs!

Must admit even with that straight thru can on it it is not too loud and the motor seems to be in very good nick.

Having got the engine warm and the water up to temperature I will see if there is any water loss from the pump in a couple of days.

On removing the original cylinder head I found that all four valves were not seating properly, so replaced it with a spare one from an RC600, which I had already ground the valves in on.

The original head now has 3 broken off exhaust manifold studs on it, which I will have to set up on the mill and machine them out at a later date.

If there is anyone with a head with similar broken off studs, let me know and I will look at doing them in one batch on a mounting plate to save costs.
