Kano, any chance of a sketch of your flange or image if you have such a thing?

Could be useful for me as I have limited fabrication facilities.
John

I wish you had not asked me that now I have to find a flange with a hole I made around 12 years ago and not used since, may even been used for something else?.
You need a hole with a small clearance 0.02-0.04 bigger than the clutch cover O/D, in a plate around 12-16mm thick, I pressed the clutch assembly through the flange in a 6" vice and got a pretty good result

Hi, be a little wary of he cheaper versions, I used one from Poland which didn't last long, hence buying a KTM which, fingers crossed, has been more successful

Always been liable to ask awkward questions; I get the principle so thanks for the suggestion of making up the disk.

Cheers, John

Maybe a rather big hose clamp (hope that's the right word in english) will do the job.

ciao Joachim

I doubt a hose clamp would be anything like stiff enough to compress that shield edge. I just used a hammer as the video showed, and it closed up enough to hold in place.
The sprag I used had a different type of circlip which protruded through slots in the casing sufficient to stop the unit seating in the drum. I could have reduced the 'ears', but once that circlip was out, I found it impossible to get the **** thing to go back anyway, so just used the simple circlip that was in there before. I'm not sure the circlip does much more than take up space, as there is no recess for it to go into.
