I've never done Hartland, the roughest place I ever did was The Sloc in the I.O.M and my eyes and teeth almost fell out, but I got FTD for the event

Well guess who is feeling a bit of a twit now ref the fork brace ?!
Never could get the hang of this new technology so please forgive my ignorance. As regards the front forks in general two points really, yes i agree that it may be a waste of time as one never uses the bike too it's max capability but a new and better spring and change of fork oil will certainly not do any harm. Secondly i do like to make small mods, once done the bike now has my stamp on it.
I would also agree with the comment that a lot of suspension problems are diagnosed as being at the front end when they actually start at the back, no problems with that except that its a ot of money for a rear shock. So to my way of thinking start with the least expensive option.
Cheers

Heh, one of my favourite roads. We used to do it nearly every day when we were in digs at Port Erin for the TT. We always fit in a couple of runs when we are across. I did find the big dip in the tarmac on Tower Bends during the Ramsey 500 in 97. That was hairy enough thankyou
